Sarnia-Lambton MP Marilyn Gladu was honoured recently by a health-care company for her advocacy for seniors.
Gladu received the Senior Advocate Award from Home Instead Senior Care.
In 2017, a private member’s bill introduced by Gladu was passed by Parliament that called for the creation of a national framework for palliative care.
Gladu, who serves as the Conservative health critic, said she was honoured to receive the award.
“Since I was elected, I have made job creation and seniors my priority,” she said. “I am proud of the progress that has been made, but there is still much more to be done.”
